It is a rare blend of different chamber music pieces with two ricercares (three or six-part figures), a trio sonata and elaborate canons. In this recording, the ricercare á 6 is also played in the orchestration of the trio sonata, lucidly conjuring up the picture of the musical soirée at the Prussian court
