The world's most famous drummer, Ringo Starr, made history with the Beatles and went on to record a formidable string of hits as a solo artist in the '70s. More recently, his summer tours with his All-Starr Band have continued to be can't-miss events, and he has gone on to release two critically acclaimed studio albums on Koch. All Music Guide praised his last Koch album for its "Warm, rich sound (and) friendly aura that's hard to resist if you've ever loved Ringo...not just a good record for RIngo, it's just a flat-out good record."
The biggest Beatles event in 2007 was Capitol's release of the Beatles Love album, which featured 5.1 channel continuous remix of legendary Beatles hits. Ringo was so impressed with the multi-channel mixes, he decided to return to his Koch solo albums to create new multi-channel mixes of his favorite recent solo tracks. Under Ringo's personal supervision, the original master tapes were used to create new 5.1 channel mixes of Ringo's own favorites from 2003's Ringo Rama and 2005's Choose Love. The results are a revelation.
