DVD Content :

Long considered one of the best live bands in the UK, the Cinematic Orchestra have toured all over the world, headlined festivals and even played the music at a party for Stanley Kubrick. Now you can catch some of the magic of the band in the comfort of your own home on their first ever live DVD.

Filmed live this year at the prestigious Barbican Centre, London, on 6th May 2007 this sumptuous production features the group at its very best, playing material from new album "Ma Fleur" as well as "Everyday" and "Motion". Beautifully filmed and edited, with the kind of audiophile values you'd expect from TCO, this once again shows what a unique musical journey band leader Jason Swinscoe is embarked on.

The DVD also contains a host of bonus material. Revered video directors Up The Resolution turn in an inspired short film entitled "To Build A Home" starring Peter Mullan and Julia Ward, while Maya Hayuk's beautiful artwork photography for Ma Fleur" is re interpreted into a new 1hr long piece by the London based video artist Mox.

On top of this the bonus audio CD includes versions and remixes of selected tracks form "Ma Fleur"; including a beautiful acoustic re-write of the soon to be classic "To Build A Home" by the Brooklyn based singer songwriter Grey Reverend, Remixes of the Beautiful Fontella Bass track "Breathe" by new Warp signing and west coast beat maestro Flying Lotus and Japanese electronic legend Susumu Yokota plus a splash of New York afro jazz from up and coming producer and singer Taylor McFerrin.
